A history-making tournament to remember. Aged 14 at the time, Arthur became the first person to win both the Australian Under-15 and Under-18 Snooker Championships in the same year, and the youngest ever in Australia to make back-to-back centuries in competition. In the Under-15 division, Arthur went through the round robin stage undefeated, without dropping a frame in 6 matches, and was seeded 1 for the knockout stage. His quarter-final match was against Stone Stenhouse (WA), which he won 2-0, and he won his semi-final against Jake Thompson (Vic) 3-0. Arthur then made back-to-back centuries (133c, 109) in the first two frames of the final, going on to win the championship 4-1 against Hayden Goode (Qld). In the Under-18 division, he was undefeated in the round robin stage, dropping only one frame, and was seeded 1 for the knockout stage. He fought off some stiff competition to win, defeating Adam Bleumink (Vic) 3-0 in the quarter-final, Vijay Randall (Qld) 4-3 in the semi-final, and coming from 4-2 down in a best of 9 against Ben Foster (WA) to win the championship 5-4.
